The “Best Selling Popular Record Albums” album chart was first published in March 1945. Originally, it only counted the top 10, but eventually expanded to the top 200 in May 1967. Through the years, the working title of the album chart changed, until the current Billboard 200 was created in March 1992.
Since the creation of the Billboard Charts, the music industry has seen numerous changes in how people consume their music, thus the Billboard Charts continues to develop new strategies as consumer trends change.
Queen has had mixed fortunes within the USA, however, all of their studio albums broke into the Billboard 200.
