BRIAN MAY

"Born in Bolton when it was still in Lancashire,but brought up in the small seaside town of Lytham .As a teenager I was captivated by the sounds of Kiss, Judas Priest and Van Halen. Still am actually! I taught myself to play guitar and did what many teens did and formed a band at school.

 

I moved to London to attend university and stayed on after graduation.Played in bands and gigged all over the UK,Germany and even once played a Japanese tour with a band despite having no management or record label.

My first band to get a record deal and play internationally was Balance of Power. We recorded six albums and played in Europe and the USA from 1998 to 2007. Check out the music on iTunes,Spotify,Deezer etc. Sadly the band ended and becoming increasingly disillusioned with life in London I moved to Japan for four years where I worked as a teacher and musician.

 

On returning to the UK in 2014 I moved back to my childhood home in Lytham. I was keen to get back into live music and saw an online ad from the Queen tribute Majesty in nearby Blackpool needing a "Brian May." So "Now I'm Here" almost four years later having a great time bringing this great music to people of all ages. “We Will Rock You!”"
