Queen Quiz — Tie Your Mother Down

“Tie Your Mother Down” is a Queen single recorded in 1976 and was included on their fifth studio album “A Day At The Races”. The song was written by Brian May, which he started to write whilst studying for his PhD in Tenerife.

Though the song had mixed reactions around the globe, it is considered a fan favourite and so featured on Queen's first “Greatest Hits” compilation album (within certain countries), and later on Queen's “Queen Rocks” compilation album.

“Tie Your Mother Down” also featured as a double a-side single to “No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young)”.
