The music video for I Want To Break Free began being recorded on 22 March 1984.
The music video was recorded at The London Docklands Limehouse studios with hundreds of fan club members dressed as miners to help with the filming.
The music video for I Want To Break Free was directed by David Mallet and became famous due to the members of Queen dressing up in drag who parodied the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street.
I Want To Break Free was not well received in the USA where it was not allowed to be broadcasted. This probably caused the decline of Queen's career in the USA.
