Jazz is Queen's seventh studio album.
The album was recorded in 1978 at Studio Miraval (Correns), Super Bear Studios (Berre-les-Alpes) and their Mountain Studio (Montreux). Recordings for this album were completed outside of the United Kingdom after the band received a hefty tax bill a month prior to commencing recording; the tax-related issues related to Brian May, which would have seen him being forced out of the UK during recording.
Jazz's cover artwork was suggested by Roger Taylor who had once seen a similar design painted on the Berlin Wall.
